Franklin Park Has Solid Day At Altamont Invitational

The Franklin Park track team competed at Altamont against Teutopolis, the hosts, South Central and North Clay.  The Salem 7th grade boys won their event with 139 points followed by TTown with 75, Altamont 52, North Clay 14 and South Central 9.  Winning 1st place for the 7th grade boys were Alex Spencer and Madden Thompson went 1-2 in the hurdles, Trey Clark won the 7th grade 100, Spencer won the 7th grade mile.  Salem’s 4×100 relay team was first.  Payton Gullion had a great meet winning the 7th grade long jump, the 400m as well as the 4×200 and 4×400.  Clark won the discus followed by Caeden Miraglia who was also 2nd in the shot.  Thompson and Avery Gullion went 1-2 in the high jump with Gullion also 2nd in the high jump and long jump and part of the 4×400 meter winning team.  Isaiah Findley was 2nd in the pole vault.

The 8th grade boys won their event with 120 points, North Clay 71, Altamont 62, TTown 18 and SC 10.  Ryegan Warren won the hurdles and high jump, Angel Salgado won the 100 and 200, Robbie Shober won the mile and 800m, Morgan Mickens won the shot and discus with Noah Timm 2nd in the shot and Kauffman 2nd in the discus.  Holden Richardson was 2nd in the pole vault.
