The Marion County Health Department will begin to administer 2nd booster doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine every Tuesday at the Salem office. No appointment is needed. The first clinic will be on April 12.
Marion County Health Department Administrator Melissa Mallow says the FDA and CDC have authorized a second booster of either COVID-19 mRNA
vaccines for individuals ages 50 and older at least 4 months after the first booster dose. Anyone 50 years and older who received the Johnson and Johnson primary vaccine may receive a second booster dose of an mRNA vaccine at least four months after their first booster dose.
