The Salem Wildcats will start a very busy week of games this afternoon when they travel to defending 2a state champion Freeburg. Salem is 2-8 overall and 0-1 in the Cahokia Conference. After today, Salem will travel to Belleville East tomorrow, to Columbia on Thursday, they will host Mater Dei on Friday before welcoming Teutopolis to Salem for a double header on Saturday.
Yesterday, Christ Our Rock fell to Cisne 2-1. Will Pryor and Lendon Isaiah had singles with Parker Boehne going 2-3. He also worked 6 innings on the mound allowing 2 hits and no earned runs with 9 strikeouts.
Vandalia short-gamed CHBC 15-5 in six-innings scoring six times in the final inning to finish off the game.
