The Salem Lady Wildcats dropped a tough softball game over the weekend to Marion 4-3. Lilly Blagoue was terrific on the mound with 9 strikeouts. Maya Susmena and Makenna Smith drove in runs. Blagoue, Avery Bass and Ally Roberts scored runs for Salem. The JV Lady Cats have picked up a game this afternoon at Odin to take on Odin/Patoka/Sandoval.
The SC Lady Cougars are in softball action this afternoon when they travel to Windsor/Stew Stras. SC is coming off a pair of tight wins over the weekend. Salem beat Carlyle 11-10 in 8 innings. Ryleigh Swartzlander came up with the game winning RBI single. Taegan Webster drove in 32 runs along with Laney Webster who homered. Lilly Malone added an RBI along with Ella Watwood and Abi Shuler.
SC beat Odin/Patoka/Sandoval in the second game 3-2. Malone had the walk-off home run for the Lady Cougars who are 5-2 on the season.
