Salem senior Avery Bass has signed her letter of intent to continue her softball career next year at Missouri Baptist University. A 4-year contributor for the Lady Cats, Bass hit .250 her freshman hear with 21 runs and 22 RBI, she then lost her sophomore year to Covid before coming back last year and hitting .375 with 21 runs. Bass played mostly left field her freshman year and also some at first base. She moved to shortstop for her junior and senior years. According to coach Stacey Lux, Avery is reliable, dedicated and works hard. She is a wonderful leader, both on and off the field.
