The South Central Lady Cougars are back in action today as they host Vandalia.
The Lady Cougars went 2-1 at the Casey Tournament over the weekend. They dropped their opener to the hosts 11-1. Kaitlyn Swift doubled home the only SC run.
They beat Oakwood 17-8 as Laney Webster got the win. She also added 2 RBI, Lily Malone had 3 singles and drove in 6 with 3 RBI from Swift and RBI also from Brooklynn Garrett, Abi Shuler and Ella Watwood.
SC then beat Champaign Central 7-1. Taegan Webster earned the win. She also drove in a run with Garrett with 2 RBI each from Kaitlyn Swift and Watwood.
The Lady Cougars enter today’s game at 3-1.
