Douglas Wayne Wildbur, 63, of Xenia passed away at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at his brother’s home in Effingham.
Doug was born on November 24, 1958, at the Clay County Hospital in Flora the son of Harold and Shirley (Cooper) Wildbur. Doug has worked many different jobs over the years, some having been a mechanic for Joe Hotze Ford in Salem and most recently for Bible Pork in Louisville as a grain hauler. When Doug was younger, he liked to race flat track dirt bikes. Some of Doug’s other hobbies included hunting, fishing, and loved to ride horses and watch rodeos.
Doug is survived by his children; Jeremy (Kelli) Wildbur, of Xenia, Joni (Chris) Wildbur Brown, of Xenia, Austen (Katie) Wildbur, of Xenia, Laura Wildbur, of Flora, step children; Brad (Jessica) Albert, of Centralia, Joshua (Amy) Albert, of Alma, Molly Pyatt, of New Jersey, his mother; Shirley Wildbur, of Effingham, his grandchildren; Treyden, Addyson, Karter, Britton, Gavin, Brayden, Lauren, Preston, Lily, Julian, Dalton, Reece, Chloe, Maddilyn, Hayden, Elizabeth, Brantley. He is also survived by his brothers; Mike (Kathy) Wildbur, of Iola, Mark (Gloria) Wildbur, of Effingham.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, wife; Beth Ann, brother; Jeffery Wildbur.
Funeral services honoring the life of Doug will be held at 12 noon Friday, April 1, 2022, at the McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Kelly Carruthers officiating, burial will follow at the Old Union Cemetery, Bible Grove. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home where friends may call from 11 to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Doug’s memory to the Oskaloosa Cemetery Memorial Day Veterans Program, or to Clay County Hospice.
