2022 03/25 – Hazel M. Bopp

Hazel M. Bopp, 91, of Dahlgren, Illinois, passed away March 22, 2022, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, Illinois. Hazel was a member of the Eastern Star in Opdyke-Belle Rive. She worked at One Hour Martinizing for 35 years. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 25, 2022, at 10:00 am at Sandoval Cemetery in Sandoval, Illinois. Interment will follow. Hazel is survived by her sons, Gary Bopp and wife, Linda of Fairfield, Illinois and Robert Bopp and wife, Phyllis of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren, Michelle Conard and husband, Michael of Fairfield, Illinois, Melissa Bopp and husband, Dan Dare of Cullman, Alabama, and Ashlea Bopp (Kyle Stockton) of Lubbock, Texas; great-grandchildren, Noah Conard and fiancée, Danielle Hancock, Lauren Grace Conard, Kelsea Wadkins and husband, Shawn, Kerrigan Francis and husband, George, Tanner Steen, Audrey Steen, and Paisley Stockton; great-great-grandchildren, Phoenix Wadkins, Lenox Francis, and Lexi Francis; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Schaubert and Betty Book; brother-in-law, Dean Bopp; and several nieces and nephews.

She was born October 27, 1930, in Shattuc, Illinois to the late Clarence “Shorty” Schaubert and Erma Williams. Hazel married Gerlad Elvin Bopp on February 28, 1947. They were blessed with 55 years of marriage before his passing on October 28, 2002. In addition to her parents and husband, Hazel was preceded in death by stepmother, Wanda Schaubert; and siblings, Bob Schaubert and Maxine Foltz.
