Donna Sue Clifton, 83, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 3:50 pm March 13, 2022 at her residence. Donna greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and she went on several vacations with them. Her passion was shopping. Donna was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel in Woodlawn, Illinois with Reverend Merle Fullerton officiating. Donna is survived by her son, Scott Clifton and wife, Pam of Mount Vernon; daughter, Mary Jane Richard and husband, James of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Ashley Page and husband, Benjamin, David Clifton, Elizabeth Minton and husband, Jesse, Tyler Weston, and Nicole Richard; sister, Linda Mulligan and husband, Jerry; and several nieces and nephews.
She was born July 14, 1938 in Mount Vernon to the late Luther and Lucile (Graves) Medlin. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her son, Mark Edward Clifton; and sisters, Barbara Joy Walker and Bonnie Smith.
