Glenn C. Winkler, 77, of Centralia, passed away, January 20, 2022 at Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Glenn loved spending time with his family. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, watching old westerns, listening to his Bible, and baking cakes.
A Graveside Service for Glenn Winkler will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 1:30pm at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia with Pastor Claude Howell officiating. He then married Vivian Heern Sanders on February 14, 2002 and she survives. In addition to his wife of 19 years, Vivian Winkler of Centralia, he is also survived by his two sons: James Winkler and wife Paula of Centralia and Daniel Winkler and fiancée Mia McCourt of Macomb, Illinois; step children: Sheila Dagg of Centralia, Sonya Greathouse of Columbus, Indiana, and Travis Sanders of Salem, Illinois; special grandchildren: Taylor Winkler and Alicia Cox; several grandchildren: Kylin Bailey, Paige Tyson, Dylin Gray, Evan Gardin, Chloe Winkler, Mackenzie Hahn, Annah Mullins, Walker Dagg, Kirsten Warren, Makayla Sanders, and Duke Sanders; and five great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters: Richard Winkler and Virgie of Mayflower, Arkansas, David Winkler and wife Judy of Salem, Illinois, Alan Winkler and wife Terri of Little Rock, Arkansas, John Underwood, Shirley Morgan and husband Jimmy of Bryant, Arkansas, Nola Cobb and husband Butch of Patoka, Illinois; sister-in-law: Frieda Winkler of Little Rock, Arkansas, several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Harold and Linda Hails, Gary and Melanie Cortelloni, Bert Rollinson, and Hugh and Sue Lamb.
Glenn was born to Glenn Winkler, Sr. and Mary (Lee) Winkler. He married Sue (Scoggins) Winkler and she preceded him in death. Glen was preceded in death by his parents: Glenn Winkler, Sr. and Mary Winkler, wife: Sue Winkler, brothers: Jerry Winkler, Ronnie Winkler, Donnie Winkler, Noel Winkler, Russell Winkler, and sister: Sharon Horst.
