The girls sectional finals were played for around the state last night with others postponed until today. In 1a at Sesser, Goreville won the title with their 57-53 win over Christopher. Jase Burkett of Woodlawn advanced in the 3-point showdown hitting 10 and will shoot at State.
Tonight in 1a at Bunker Hill, Okawville takes on Jacksonville Routt, and at Tuscola it will be an all National Trail matchup with Neoga taking on St Anthony.
In 2a girls sectional finals today at Monticello it is Pana against Paris. Before the game, Salem’s Lauren Burge will shoot for a trip to the state 3-point contest. Also tonight at Nashville, Carterville takes on Mater Dei.
In 3a tonight, Mattoon will take on the hosts at Civic Memorial while Lincoln will host Mahomet Seymour.
Edwardsville won the 4a Joliet Central title beating Normal Community 57-45.
