One person was taken to the hospital for treatment following a two vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on Route 37 at East Senneff Street near the entrance to Salem Community High School.
Salem Police say a car driven by a 17-year-old Salem male juvenile made a turn from East Senneff in front of a northbound car on North Broadway driven by a 16-year-old Salem male juvenile. The 17-year-old male was taken to Salem Township Hospital to be checked out for apparent minor injuries. A passenger in his pickup, 18-year-old Felicia Pheonix of Texico, and the other driver both refused hospital treatment.
Salem Firemen were initially called, but when Salem Police determined there was no extrication needed they were cancelled. The crash occurred at 3:39 Wednesday afternoon as school was leaving out for the day.
