The KC Blue Devils earned a hard fought 86-84 win at Mattoon over Lakeland. Tyrone Smith had 29 in the win for KC, Chauncey Hughes added 17, Darius Duffy 14 and Traeveion Jones finished with 13. Kaskaskia improves to 17-10 overall and 8-10 in the Region. KC will continue play Thursday at home against Rend Lake College.
The Blue Angels earned their 3rd sweep of a conference opponent on the year when they beat Olney Central 75-67. Casandra Sams led KC with 26, Peyton Wilderman added 15, Nyah Ford 12 and Jaya Hedgepeth added 11. The Angels are 12-12 overall and 6-7 in the Conference as they host Rend Lake as well on Thursday. The women tip at 5 and the men at 7.
