Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to three complaints about a 32-year-old Centralia man before he was located and taken into custody for alleged domestic battery and no valid driver’s license.
Jeffrey Gallatin of East Second Street was taken to the Marion County Jail where he remains pending a final decision on charges.
The sheriff’s department first responded to a report of people fighting in an apartment on Laury Street in Odin. About a half-hour later, deputies received another call from the apartment complex that Gallatin was allegedly kicking a door. The third report came about an hour later when a male was reportedly beating a woman in a car pulled to the side of the road at Chestnut and Merritt. Gallatin was allegedly the man beating the woman in the car.
