Centralia man faces felony weapons charge

A 46-year-old Centralia man was charged in Marion County Court on Friday with a felony weapons charge following an early Friday morning traffic stop by Centralia Police.

Christopher Taulbee of North Hickory Grove is facing charges of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon for allegedly possessing a set of brass knuckles with a prior felony conviction.  He was also charged with a misdemeanor offense of unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe.

Taulbee had the public defender appointed to represent him.  Bond was set at $7,500.   He was later released after posting $750 cash bond.
