The prep girls regional titles were played for last night.
In 2a at Salem, Teutopolis had no issues as they knocked off Robinson 68-31. Kaylee Niebrugge had 15 and Zoey Cremens added 14. Advancing in the 3-point shootout were Salem’s Lauren Burge, Anna Forbes of Vandalia, Raegan Manhart of Robinson and Izzy Hardiek of Teutopolis.
Also in 2a last night, Pana won the Arthur Regional over Tolono 59-29, Benton won at ho me beating Hamilton County 36-19, Nashville knocked off the Lady Cougars at Breese Central 39-30, Mater Dei knocked off the top-seed Freeburg 35-33, Carlinville beat the hosts at Hillsboro 51-49, At Marshall it was the host Lady Lions beating Fairfield 45-30 and Alton Marquette won at Roxana over Staunton 65-48.
In 3a, Mattoon knocked off Centralia at the Herrin Regional finals 56-48. Mount Vernon earned a 43-37 win over the Hearts at Effingham, Civic Memorial at home in overtime beat East St Louis 64-58, Triad was at home and they beat Waterloo 55-53.
In 1a, Carlyle won their regional over Father McGivney 51-39. Advancing in the 3-point shootout were Mireya Rose and Ellie Johnston of Christ Our Rock and Carlyle’s Ella Rolfingsmeyer and Raelyn Harris. St Anthony won the Cumberland title over Cowden Herrick 61-57. Woodlawn beat Marissa at Gibault 46-35. Kodie VanEycke had 11 for Woodlawn and Ryan Peterson 10. The Lady Cardinals Jace Burkett advanced in the 3-point shootout. Later today at Altamont, Neoga takes on the hosts at 1pm.
In 4a last night, Edwardsville won on their home floor knocking off Alton 60-54. Today at Belleville West, the championship will see O’Fallon and Collinsville.
