Dora Lea Sussen, 79, of Sandoval, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in her granddaughter’s home surrounded by her family. Dora was a vibrant person. She enjoyed a number of different hobbies. She enjoyed singing, sewing, painting, and puzzles. Dora loved her family and her extended family. She was a deeply religious person and enjoyed reading her bible. She was member of the Apostolic of Salem.

Per Dora Sussen’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the Salem Apostolic Church in Salem, Illinois. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Memorial donations can be made to the family and will be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Sussen Family. She is survived by one son: Leonard Duane Morris and wife Theresa of Sandoval; two daughters: Carmelia Nadine Lee and Norman Lee of Sandoval and Melinda Lea Olinger and husband Darryl of Hawaii; three sisters: Shirley Harvey and husband John of Sandoval, Sheila Ragusa and husband Darry of Centralia, and Leila Tate of Odin; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dora Sussen was born May 11, 1942, the daughter of Leo Wadkins and Marie (Davis) Wadkins. Dora was preceded in death by her parents: Leo and Marie Wadkins, brother: Merle Wadkins, and a raised daughter: Michelle Graham.
