Cynthia Louise “Cindy” Pugh, 70, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 10:52 pm February 4, 2022 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mount Vernon with Pastor Andy Mays officiating. Interment will follow. Cindy is survived by her son, Shawn Pugh of Mount Vernon; granddaughter, Shawna Pugh of Mount Vernon; brother, David Fletcher and wife, Sharon of Oak Grove, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
She was born December 12, 1951 in Mount Vernon to the late Jewell and Mitzi (Henry) Harrison. Cindy married Gary Pugh on December 19, 1970. They were blessed with 35 years of marriage before he passed away on February 1, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband, Cindy was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Ward.
