The post season regional assignments have been made by the IHSA. Salem will be the 2a regional site, but the Lady Cats as the 9 seed will have to travel for the play-in game when they take on Carmi next Saturday. The winner will play top-seed Teutopolis. Vandalia and Flora are in the other play-in with that winner getting Robinson.
In 3a at the Effingham Regional, Mt Vernon is the 2 seed and will open on Monday, February 14th against Charleston. Effingham and Olney are the other teams in the regional.
At Herrin, Centralia is the 4 seed and will take on Marion on February 15th with the winner getting the winner between Mattoon and either Carbondale or Herrin.
In 1a, Carlyle will play the winner of the Mt Olive at Sandoval play-in winner while Christ Our Rock opens with Father McGivney all at the Carlyle Regional.
In 1a at the Altamont Regional, 7th seed SC will open up with Windsor/Stew Stras next Saturday. The winner will play either Altamont or Ramsey in the semifinal.
At the Gibault Regional, Woodlawn is the 2 seed and will play either Valmeyer or Trico.
