Blues lose to Winnipeg Jets

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Paul Stastny scored twice, Eric Comrie made 28 saves in his first start since early last month and the Winnipeg Jets beat the St. Louis Blues 4-1 on Saturday to snap a six-game winless streak. Nate Schmidt and Kyle Connor also scored for Winnipeg. Comrie started for the first time since Dec. 5, with Connor Hellebuyck making 13 straight starts. Vladimir Tarasenko scored for St. Louis, and Ville Husso made 20 saves in his first loss in seven starts since returning from a lower body injury on Jan. 7. The Blues lost in regulation at home for just the second time in their last 17 games.

Elsewhere on NHL ice:

— It took overtime, but the Philadelphia Flyers have ended their team-record 13-game losing streak. Cam Atkinson scored twice in regulation and assisted Scott Laughton’s goal 2:22 into OT to carry the Flyers past the Kings, 4-3. Laughton scored on the rebound of Atkinson’s shot as the Flyers picked up their first victory since Dec. 29. Atkinson’s second goal was a short-handed tally and came on a breakaway, putting Philadelphia up 3-1 with 10:54 remaining in regulation.

— Sam Bennett’s goal 68 seconds into overtime sent the Panthers to their ninth straight home win, 5-4 over the Sharks. San Jose led 4-2 in the third period before Mason Marchment and Jonathan Huberdeau scored to extend the game.

— Antti Raanta (AN’-tee RAHN’-tah) made 24 saves in his first action in nearly a month as the Hurricanes beat the Devils 2-1. Jordan Martinook and Andrei Svechnikov (SVEHCH’-nih-kahv) scored in the first period to help Carolina win its third straight and sixth in the last seven.

— The Golden Knights blew a 2-0 lead before Mark Stone scored in the seventh round of a shootout to push Vegas past the Lightning, 3-2. Brett Howden and William Carrier both had a goal and an assist for the Knights.

— The Maple Leafs rallied for five unanswered goals in the third period to beat the Red Wings, 7-4. Michael Bunting had three goals and Rasmus Sandin scored the tiebreaker with 2:51 remaining.

— The Ducks were 2-1 winners at Ottawa behind John Gibson’s season-high 44 saves. Troy Terry and Rickard Rakell (rah-KEHL’) provided the Anaheim goals as the Ducks won for the fourth time in five games.

— Craig Anderson made 28 saves in his return from the injured list and the Sabres beat the Coyotes, 3-1. Kyle Okposo (ah-POH’-soh), Peyton Krebs and Alex Tuch (tuhk) scored to support Anderson in his first game since Nov. 2.

— Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl (DRY’-sy-tul) each had two goals and Evander Kane scored in his Edmonton debut, leading the Oilers to a 7-2 rout of the Canadiens. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Derek Ryan also tallied in the Oilers’ fourth win in a row.

— The Flames pulled out a 1-0 win over the Canucks on Johnny Gaudreau’s goal 29 seconds into OT. Jacob Markstrom had 15 saves for his seventh shutout of the season and 15th of his career.

— The Islanders and Kraken were postponed due to a snow emergency on Long Island. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday.
