Mildred Maxine Richard, 90, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 11:27 am January 23, 2022 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. Mildred dedicated her life to Christ at a young age. She loved her family and prayed for them daily. She worked at Saint Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Housekeeping for twenty-eight years.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm with Mr. Doug Junkins officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Carla Moyer and husband, Donnie of Mount Vernon, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Paula Richard of Dix, Illinois; grandchildren, Juli Shubert and husband, Todd of Oakdale, Illinois, Tiffany Burns and husband, Seth of Dix, Illinois, Quinn Irwin and husband, Chad of Newnan, Georgia, Ryan Perigo and wife, Diana of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Tammy McGhee and husband, John of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Rachel Etheridge and husband, Scott of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Josh Moyer of Mount Vernon, Illinois; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Clydel L. Williams and wife, Becky of Johnston City, Illinois; and sister, Luella Conner of Johnston City, Illinois.
She was born January 25, 1931 in Williamson County, Illinois to the late Clyde E. and Mamie Clair (Burton) Williams. Mildred married Carl H. Richard on April 25, 1949 in Kentucky. They were blessed with nearly fifty-seven years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 29, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in by her son, Gerald Richard.
