Dale Nowland, 61, of Waltonville, Illinois, passed away at 9:55 am on January 20, 2022, at his home in Waltonville, Illinois.
He was born October 18, 1960, in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Meredith and Marilyn (Someski) Nowland.
In addition to his parents, Dale is survived by his significant other and lifetime partner, Marcena Williams of Waltonville, Illinois; like a son, Keith Williams of Orange, Virginia; grandson, Kameron Williams of Orange, Virginia; twin brother, Gale Nowland and wife, Charlet of Waltonville, Illinois; brothers, Randy Nowland and wife, Marsha of Waltonville, Illinois, Rick Nowland and wife, Carolyn of Scheller, Illinois; sister-in-law, Dee Morgan and husband, Bob of Joliet, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews from the Waltonville and Chicago area.
Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Dale worked at Walgreen’s Distribution Center but his passion was farming. Dale was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing golf. Dale was of the catholic faith.
The family would like to give special thanks to Crossroads Community Hospital, Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana, and SSM Health at Home Hospice for the care he received. They would also like to thank Dale’s friends and also coworkers at Walgreen’s Distribution Center.
There will be no public visitations prior to the service. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 24, 2022, at 10:30 am at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel in Woodlawn, Illinois with Father Joel Seipp officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Dale’s honor to the American Cancer Society or SSM Health at Home Hospice.
