By WJBD Staff Jan 24, 2021 | 2:49 PM

Brenda L. Allison, age 61 of Iuka, entered heavens gates on January 18, 2022 at Salem Township Hospital surrounded by her family. At just 5 years old God gifted Brenda with an ear for music on the piano. She spent more than 55 years leading worship on Sunday mornings. She was a member of quartets and played at hundreds of revivals, weddings, and funerals. Brenda had a heart for the elderly and spent many years caring for them when they could no longer manage alone. She was involved with the Union Grove Assn. for many years helping prepare and serve meals with her Christian friends and Presbytery. She loved rummage sales and often dragged her husband or daughter out of bed before dawn to go search for bargains. Brenda loved her grandchildren and was proud of them. She never passed up an opportunity to feed them something sweet when they visited.

Due to the rise in concern over COVID-19 a private family graveside will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at New Liberty Cemetery in Iuka with Bryan Bennett and Jonathan Timm officiating. The family knows many loved Brenda and wish to pay their respects, but for the safety of everyone they ask that only immediate family and close friends attend. Masks will be required and will not be optional. Brenda recently helped her church on a mission to deliver supplies to the victims of the recent Kentucky tornadoes, She was touched to witness the work the church was doing to assist families in need. Memorials can be made to Madisonville First General Baptist Church in Madisonville, KY for tornado relief and will be received at the Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.CrouseFH.com.
