Sandoval once again has three full-time police officers.

Former part-time officer John Ashlock was promoted to the fulltime position after completing the fulltime police officer academy at Belleville.

Sandoval Police Chief Joe Lyons is now looking for a part-time officer.

Applications are being taken at village hall.

Mayor Pam Gelsinger is hoping a recent increase in pay for the part-time officers will result in more interest and applicants.

The Sandoval Village Board agreed to move forward on the demolition of four substandard homes. The property owners at 201 South Clay, 211 South Mine, 612 North Vine and 107 North Isle will receive notice that demolition proceedings will begin in court if work is not undertaken in 15 days to correct the shortfalls.
