Karen Ann Whisler, 74, of Centralia passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Karen had the largest, most compassionate heart for people, and it was with this passionate drive that she offered her time and assistance to families while working for BCMW Head Start in Centralia, until her retirement. She appreciated time spent outdoors, camping, and enjoying good conversations around the campfire with family and friends. She grew beautiful flower gardens which brought her much joy and peace, while carefully tending her flowers and watching them grow. Karen had a smile that could bring joy to anyone in her presence. Her selfless heart and gentle, protective nature propelled her to care for all who needed someone to make them feel loved and encouraged. Karen’s character will live on in all the lives of each person’s life she made a difference in.

A celebration of life service will be held at a future date. Memorials may be made in Karen’s honor to Project Bread and will be accepted for the family at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Online condolences and memories of Karen may be shared with the family by visiting www.maczfuneralhomes.com and/or on the funeral home’s Facebook page. Irvin Macz Funeral Home is privileged to be assisting the family of Karen Whisler with arrangements.
