Salem Police arrested a 70-year-old Centralia man for felony retail theft, criminal trespass to a residence and on a no bond Clinton County felony warrant on pending felony retail theft and criminal trespass charges. Michael Meeks of Dean Street was taken to the Marion County Jail.
A 28-year-old Centralia man was arrested by Centralia Police for alleged domestic battery. When Justin Altom of North James was being booked into the Marion County Jail, correctional officers allegedly found methamphetamine in his jacket. As a result, Marion County added counts of bringing contraband into a
penal institution and possession of methamphetamine.
A homeless Centralia woman was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on outstanding Hamilton and White County felony warrants. Tina Murphy was later transferred to the White County Jail at Carmi.
