One person injured in Christmas Day crash in Centralia

One person was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at Poplar and Noleman in downtown Centralia on Christmas morning.

Initial information from Centralia Police indicate an SUV driven by 73-year-old Ronald Nussmeyer of Flora collided with a car driven by Brynnon Wood of Allman Street in Salem.

Both drivers escaped injury, but a passenger in the Nussmeyer vehicle, 78-year-old Judith Stewart of South Marion in Centralia, was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Reports are currently incomplete on how the crash occurred.

The crash occurred at 9:30 Saturday morning.
