Salem Police were watching East Main Street early Friday morning when the driver of a car began traveling in the wrong lane before eventually leaving the road and overturning it multiple times.
Police report 21-year-old Taylor Guthrie of Carbondale was traveling westbound when she moved into the eastbound lanes before running into the ditch on the south side of the road. Her car then traveled up a culvert, went airborne, struck a fire hydrant with the passenger side, and rolled several times before landing on its wheels.
Guthrie was able to get out of her car on her own. She was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.
Police believe Taylor may have fallen asleep.
The crash occurred at four Friday morning.
