Evelyn Spinner, 93, of Sandoval passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at her home. Evelyn was proud of her family’s heritage serving as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Centralia Chapter. During her working years, she offered bright smiles and a kind word to shoppers at Kresge’s, and K-Mart in Centralia. Evelyn loved to travel and was blessed to visit many beautiful countries, traveling in Spain, Germany, Jerusalem, Australia, England, and the Netherlands. She was so impressed with the beauty of Hawaii and chose to take road trips by car or tour bus, so as not to miss out on the places in-between her home and destination. She liked to curl up with a good book and challenge her mind with puzzles. She loved making others feel loved and appreciated and asked everyone to call her “Ma”. Evelyn’s greatest treasures were found in the wonderful, close relationships she shared with her family. Watching her great-grandchild play and explore in her yard always brought peace and a smile to her face. Evelyn was a wonderful example of how the world would be if we all treated one another with love and respect and her strong character will continue on in all her family and friends.
