The Centralia City Grade School Board has adopted its 2021 tax levy.
Superintendent Craig Clark says it is 4.9-percent over the amount of property taxes collected on bills paid earlier this year. However, the assessed value of the properties in the district boundaries is up substantially. That means that the revenues are increased, but the rate the taxpayers see on their bills should be lower or the same as last year.
The School Board acted on a number of personnel issues.
The board accepted the resignation of 8th grade history teacher Rachel Mosbarger.
The board hired Ron Brothers as bus driver; Chris Ray, James LaBelle and Karen Snyder as bus monitors; Hannah Offret and Melody Whritenour as individual paraprofessionals, and Kristi Jarvais as cook.
