Eddie P. Phillips, 74, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away December 4, 2021, in his hunting blind, doing what he enjoyed the most.
Born May 30, 1947, in Centralia, he was the son of Herbert Paul and Thelma (Shuler) Phillips.
Eddie was retired from the Operators Union. He loved hunting, fishing, just all things outdoors, holding membership in the QDMA, QUGA, and NWTA. He was also a member of the Salem Elks Club.
He united in marriage with Carol Easley, September 21, 1968, in Salem.
Surviving are his children, Craig Phillips of Salem, Lori Phillips Martin and husband Jeff of Salem along with grandchildren Blake Phillips and wife Cassie, Brooke Martin, Delaney Martin, Shelby Martin, and Payton Phillips, and his former wife, Carol Schwartz, all of Salem.
Also his brother Michael Phillips and wife Sandie of Salem, and sister Dana Pruitt and husband Jonnie of New Baden, IL., and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, December 10, 2021, in the Sutherland – Rankin Chapel. Services will follow at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.
