Kinmundy plans Christmas activities

By WJBD Staff Dec 1, 2021 | 8:41 AM

Several Christmas activities are planned in Kinmundy this weekend.

The annual toy auction returns to the Kinmundy Community Center following a year’s absence at six Saturday night.

Kinmundy Alma Fire Chief Kevin Day says the auction will help collect toys and donations for the annual community effort to help provide Christmas to the less fortunate in the fire district. Those attending the auction can buy items for themselves as well as purchase items to donate to the program to help others. Cash donations will also be accepted.

Day reports 85 children are currently signed up to be assisted this year, but the deadline has not yet passed.

Santa will then visit the Kinmundy-Alma Fire Station from five to seven Sunday evening. The South Central FFA chapter is partnering with the Kinmundy Alma Fire Department to host the event.

Kids are invited to visit with Santa, sit on his lap, talk to him and get their picture taken.

Those attending are asked to please bring non-perishable food items or toys to donate to local families in need.
