The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating both a burglary and theft of a truck at a rural Salem home.
Sheriff’s deputies were notified of the situation when the residents at a home on Beckwood Lane in Salem returned home from vacation.
They reported several small items taken from the pickup truck while it was parked in a shed including a flashlight, knife, and garage door opening. The pickup apparently had been taken without permission as it was reportedly seen driving around Salem while the owners were away. The pickup had been returned before the family returned home.
