The South Centralia FFA provided 33 meals to local farmers on October 14th as they hosted their second annual “Feed a Farmer” event.
The event was hosted at South Central High School, where FFA members spent their evenings preparing meals for area farmers who wanted a free meal that night. The meals included brats, pork loins, hotdogs, apples, granola bars, chips, and water.
Some meals were handed out by FFA members, to farmers waiting in line at ADM’s Grain Elevator in Farina. Other farmers picked their meals up from South Central High School.
Organizers say the event allows the organization to give back to the community, in return for the support that South Central FFA receives from the community.
