Ronald Wayant, 68, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Indiana. Ronald loved sports but was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, he enjoyed teasing, joking and making people laugh. Ronald was a happy guy and was well loved by the people around him. “To know Ron was to love him” and he will be greatly missed by his family.
Per Ronald’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Ronald is survived by two daughters: Holly Miller and husband Brian of Centralia and Tara Landwehr and husband David of Wentzville, Mo; one son: William Warren Wessling of Yelm; WA, four grandchildren: Trevor James, Alea and Kali Landwehr, and Brynn Miller; two brothers: Thomas “Tom” Wayant and wife Annette of Columbus, IN and Steven Tate of Central City; one sister: Kim (Tate) Majors of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.
Ronald was born August 14, 1953 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Arthur Wayant and Grace (Carpenter) Tate. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents: Arthur Wayant and Grace (Carpenter) Tate, Stepdad Alden “Audie” Tate and significant other Jean Tomaszewski.
