The SC Lady Falcons are 6-2 after their 17-2 win over Central City on the road yesterday. Emily Rose was the winning pitcher allowing just 2 hits. At the plate, Kinlee Thompson drove in 3 runs. Finishing with 2 RBI each were Percilla Reid, Jaelynn Gillespie, Rose and Chloe Amos. South Central is at home at Deep Rock Energy Field taking on St Elmo/Brownstown.
The Sandoval Jr Lady Hawks defeated Bluford 9-0 on Wednesday night. Peyton Jett threw 7 innings, striking out 14 while giving up only 1 hit and 1 walk in the win. Offensively, the Hawks were led by Harlie Harper going 2-5 with 2 runs scored, Sierra Ford going 2-4 with a double, Kylee Smith with 2 RBI’s and Avery Moorhead going 2-4 with 2 runs and an RBI. Sandoval is 1-0 and will play Patoka at home on Thursday at 4:30.
Willow Grove/ St. Mary Centralia improve to 3-1 on the season with a 9-8 victory over Patoka. Emrie Quick goes 7 innings striking out 7 in the win for the wildcards. Mackenzie Perez led the offense with 3 hits including a double and a triple with 3 runs, Emrie Quick also added 3 hits with a double and 2 runs scored, Reese Koester scored 3 times while Abby Draper added a hit. The Wildcards will be back in action Monday as they go on the road to take on Hoffman.
