67-year-old Olney woman was arrested following a high-speed chase that ended shortly after she ran over stop sticks set up by Central City Police.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Linda White was given a notice to appear in court for reckless driving, failure to signal, improper lane usage, and attempting to elude police. She was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment unrelated to the chase.
The sheriff’s department received a call at 3:15 Wednesday morning from a motorist who was following White who was reportedly driving recklessly. Deputies caught up ten minutes later and White refused to stop. She reportedly ran through a field east of Wyoming Street in Sandoval and then went southbound on new U.S. 51 into Central City. Central City Police put out stop sticks that disabled White’s car that then pulled into a driveway on North Park Street where she was arrested without incident.
