A 50-year-old Centralia man was arrested on multiple drug charges after he was searched following an early Thursday morning traffic stop. Centralia Police arrested Jackie Scanlan of West Broadway for possession of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of a narcotic instrument. Police report he was a passenger in the vehicle and was subject to search since he was on parole. The search allegedly turned up 40 grams of methamphetamine and another controlled substance believed to be either heroin or fentanyl.
40-year-old Michael Bartley of North Dawley in Salem was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies for alleged possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop on the Iuka Road in Iuka.
Both were taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges.
