Salem Police arrested a 23-year-old Cisne man for possession of a controlled substance after allegedly finding him parked in the Nature Trail afterhours. Joshua Beck was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on the filing of formal charges. Three others were arrested on outstanding warrants.
31-year-old Jerrad Simpson of North Pearl in Salem was arrested by Salem Police after being spotted at College and Warmoth on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor theft failure to appear warrant. Bond is set at $10,000.
22-year-old Joseph Mengarellli of North 500th in Patoka was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies when spotted at Indiana and Spruce in Salem on an outstanding Marion County felony failure to appear warrant on a pending possession of controlled substance charge. He remains in the Marion County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
40-year-old Anthony Strain of Boles Street in Alma turned himself in on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant on a pending possession of controlled substance charge. He posted $1,000 bond and was released.
