A 59-year-old Salem woman was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment following a single vehicle crash on North Hotze Road north of Boone Street northwest of Salem.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Sarah Russell of South Lincoln ran off the road into the roadside ditch. She was unconscious in her vehicle when found. Reports indicated Russell may have suffered a medical problem that led to the crash.
United Medical Response and the Salem Fire Protection District were both called to the scene. Fire officials say Russell was not trapped. They assisted her in getting out of the vehicle and into the ambulance.
The crash was reported at 4:29 Sunday afternoon.
