A 34-year-old Salem man was arrested by Salem Police for alleged driving under the influence after his car ran into the Salem Bowl building on East Main Street.
Police say Dirk Eblin of Bason Road told them his vehicle climbed over the parking block and in trying to stop he hit the accelerator instead and ran into the building.
Reports do not indicate the amount of damage.
Eblin was not injured. He was taken to the Marion County Jail where he later posted bond and was released.
The incident occurred at 1:14 Sunday morning.
