An 82-year-old Centralia man declined hospital treatment for apparent minor injuries following a two-car crash at McCord and Poplar in downtown Centralia Friday afternoon.

Centralia Police say a car driven by a 16-year-old Carlyle juvenile female ran a red light while westbound on McCord and ran into the driver’s side of a southbound car on Poplar Street driven by 82-year-old Harold Payne of Evergreen Drive in Centralia.

The 16-year-old was ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device.

Lifestar Ambulance and the Centralia City Fire Department were both called to the scene of the crash at 2:30 Friday afternoon.
