A 36-year-old Salem woman has been arrested for felony retail theft. Salem Police say Lindsay Holsapple of Willow Place was taken into custody Thursday at the Salem Walmart store. The charge is a felony due to a past conviction.
42-year-old Larry Sharp of South 15th in Mt. Vernon remains in custody on an outstanding Marion County felony failure to appear warrant. Bond is set at $3,000.
A 51-year-old Iuka man has been given a notice to appear on a disorderly conduct charge. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph Morrison of Sycamore Street Thursday night after receiving a complaint he was outside his home naked from the waist down.
48-year-old Robert Sherman of West 3rd in Flora posted $250 bond and was released on a Marion County failure to appear.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an explosive device being placed in a mailbox of a home in the 2000 block of Shaw Road in Walnut Hill. The home owner said he heard a loud bang on Wednesday and found the damage to his mailbox on Thursday morning.
Iuka Police are investigating a motor vehicle burglary in the 400 block of Boyd Avenue in Iuka. The vehicle owner doesn’t believe anything was taken.
Sandoval Police are investigating a window of a home being shot out with a pellet gun. The shot was apparently fired from a passing vehicle.
