Salem Police arrested a 57-year-old Salem man for alleged domestic battery following an incident outside his home. Police report Wally West of Trenary Street allegedly slapped another resident of the home while outside. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
35-year-old Michael Miller Junior of North Elm in Centralia was arrested on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant and on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant. There is no bond on the IDOC warrant and $5,000 on the Marion County warrant for unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
38-year-old Valerie Evans of South Cherry in Centralia posted $2,500 bond and was released on a Marion County misdemeanor warrant on a pending case of violation of bail bond.
32-year-old Nicolas White of Sanders Drive in Wamac was arrested by Wamac Police on a failure to appear warrant in a DUI case. She was released after posting $350 bond.
