Centralia Police have arrested a 25-year-old Centralia woman who was earlier sentenced to prison after failing to show up for her sentencing hearing.
Shatavia McGee of McKee Street had been sentenced last month to two years in prison after earlier pleading guilty to felony theft of a car in August 2020.
McGee is now being held in the Marion County Jail without bond pending transfer to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Court records indicated that McGee had been warned she would be sentenced in absentia if she failed to show up for the sentencing hearing.
