The Salem 10u Wildcats are in the district championship after an easy 18-0 win over Lawrenceville at Mt Carmel. Drew Consolino worked no-hit innings for the win. At the plate, Bentley Bryan tripled and went 3-4 with 4 runs scored. Colten Tockstein and Zane Applegate each drove in 3 runs, Owen Tennyson drove in 2 along with Kai Graham and Consolino. Jax Schaubert added an RBI as well. Salem will sit back tonight and watch Lawrenceville and Olney battle it out in an elimination game with the winner playing Salem tomorrow win the title game and Salem would have to lose twice to be eliminated.
The Salem 12u district tournament came to an end as they lost their elimination game with Robinson 16-2. Landon Maxey was the starting pitcher and pitched well giving up 4 runs through the first 3 innings. But Salem’s defense let them down and several unearned runs would come to score. Robinson advances to play in another elimination game tonight against Olney with the winner getting Mt Carmel in the championship.
