Centralia Fire Protection District Chief Ross Boshera says a fire in a wire under a mobile home at 1207 South Brookside in Wamac Sunday morning resulted in minor damage.
Boshera reports the occupant, Crystal Sussen, smelled smoke and went outside the mobile home, and saw fire underneath the mobile home. The fire had spread to some insulation, but firemen were able to locate the fire after pulling some underpinning from off mobile home before it could spread any further.
Sussen and her two children, 11 and 13, exited the home after the fire was discovered around 9:35 Sunday morning. Firemen were on the scene for 30 to 45 minutes.
