The Salem 11u opened up their District Tournament at Olney with a 7-3 loss to the home team. Offensively Huck Mulvaney had 2 hits. Jaxon Ward, Landon White, Damon Jennings and Logan Butts each had a hit. Jennings drove in a run and Butts had a 2-run homer. Ward was the starting pitcher going 3.1 innings striking out six. White followed with 1.2 innings and 3 strikeouts. Logan Butts finished the last inning. The 11u tournament starts with pool play. Salem will finish those games today with a game against Robinson. The winner of the 3-team round robin advances to the District Finals with the other two teams then playing in an elimination game on Monday.
The 10u and 12u are scheduled to open their District Tournaments today. Curt Thompson takes the 12u to Robinson where they will open up at 6pm tonight against last night’s winner between Olney and Robinson.
Joby Bryan and the 10u open also at 6pm at Mt Carmel where they will play Olney.
