Everything is set to go for the 81st Annual Marion County Fair that will be held Saturday, July 31st, through Saturday August 7th.
Tickets to all the grandstand events go on sale at the fair box office on Monday. In person ticket sales start at nine Monday morning. Phone orders will begin at noon on Monday by calling the office at 618-548-1251. There is a $3 fee per order if using debit or credit cards.
The fair grandstand comes alive for the first time on Saturday night, July 31st, for the Moto Cross competition. There will be a free gate and grandstand admittance on Sunday for an evening of Praise Bands. On Monday night, the ITPA tractor pull will be held. The Marion County Fair Queen and Little Miss Pageant is set for seven Tuesday night. The Whippoorwill Rodeo returns at seven Wednesday night. A talent show followed by the Jr. Miss Pageant
and Little Miss Pageant will be on Thursday evening. The Marion County Demolition Derby will be the Friday night grandstand entertainment. Grandstand activities conclude on Saturday night August 7th, with the 2021 Grand Nationals Event of the National Tractor Pulling Association.
The exhibit building will open for entries from noon to six on Friday evening, July 30th, and again on Saturday, July 31st, from nine to noon. The exhibit building will open for viewing after judging on Saturday.
The carnival on the midway will come alive Monday night, August 2nd, through Saturday evening, August 7th.
