The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced the Kinlou Road will be closed to all traffic just west of the Clay County Line beginning Tuesday, July 6th.
The road is expected to reopen in early August.
The closure is necessary to replace the existing structure over a tributary to Skillet Fork Creek.
Motorists will need to find an alternate route during the closure. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to construction signage and watch for changing conditions, obey the posted speed limits and refrain from using mobile devices.
